Yeddyurappa is scheduled to offer prayers at a temple near Kannur Thursday, at a time his government is fighting for survival in Karnataka.

Sources said the Karnataka legislators who reached Kerala included five ministers of the Yeddyurappa cabinet.

Arriving at the international airport close to 8 p.m., the Karnataka legislators were driven to a hotel near here, sources said.

There were reports that they may spend some time at a resort near Alappuzha.

Meanwhile, Kannur police confirmed that Yeddyurappa is scheduled to arrive by a helicopter Thursday 9.30 a.m. from where he will drive to Rajarajeswara temple at Taliparamba in Kannur district.

Yeddyurappa in 2008 had prayed at this temple and offered an elephant to the temple.
This Siva temple was built in the early 11th century.

Karnataka Governor H.R. Bhardwaj Wednesday asked Yeddyurappa to prove his majority on the floor of the state assembly by Oct 12 after 19 lawmakers withdrew their support to the first Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in southern India.
