New Delhi : A woman athlete from Wales was allegedly harassed by a man at the Commonwealth Games Village, police said Thursday.
The man, who is yet to be identified, forcibly tried to click the picture of the athlete in the Village campus Tuesday, a police officer said. The complaint was registered late Wednesday.
“The security officials of the Wales team approached the police station in the Village Wednesday and explained the whole incident. We have registered a complaint of harassment against an unidentified person and are investigating the case,” police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat told IANS.
The Games Village has restricted entry and only people with CWG accreditation are allowed to enter the compound.
