Mumbai : A benchmark index of Indian equities was ruling 65 points higher Thursday, having slipped from its opening highs.
The 30-share sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 20,700.42 points, was after 45 minutes, ruling at 20,753.79 points, up 65.91 points or 0.32 percent from its previous close at 20,687.88 points.
It had moved up 167 points to 20,854.55 points soon after the opening bell.
At the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the 50-share S&P CNX Nifty was trading at 6,249 points, up 0.25 percent.
Broader markets were also in the green with the BSE midcap index ruling 0.44 percent higher and the BSE smallcap index 0.37 percent up.
