Delhi Police spends Rs 3.5 cr in 2 yrs on anti-terror ads

New Delhi: Even though the Delhi Police may not have cracked the Jama Masjid shootout case yet but it knows where to spend the money. The premier agency has spent crores of rupees in just a year and half, on ads to create awareness among general public about terrorism in Delhi.

According to RTI activist Afroz Alam Sahil Rs. 3,59,61,426 has been spent by the Delhi Police in just the advertisements to aware the common masses. Sahil got the information from Delhi Police using RTI law.

The huge amount has been spent between the period of January 2007- November 2008.

It’s important to mention here that till date there hasn’t been any major breakthrough in the incident of firing at Jama Masjid on September 19 this year.
