New Delhi: The winter session of parliament is expected to commence on Nov 9 and will conclude Dec 13.
According to an official release, President Pratibha Patil has summoned the Rajya Sabha to meet Nov 9.
“The president has summoned the Rajya Sabha to meet on Tuesday, November 9, 2010, at New Delhi. Subject to exigencies of business, the session is scheduled to conclude on Monday, December 13, 2010,” the statement said.
The Rajya Sabha secretariat has issued a notification informing members that the sessions will commence Nov 9. Official sources said a similar notification from the Lok Sabha is expected soon.
