Islamabad: UAE charity the Red Crescent Authority has sent 600 tonnes of relief material, including essential food, medicine and shelter equipment, for the flood affected people in Pakistan, it was announced Friday.
The vessel, carrying the supplies, will arrive at the country’s Karachi port in the next few days.
The RCA will distribute the items in coordination with the UAE embassy in Pakistan.
Earlier, it had sent relief supplies by planes to the country.
Pakistan had witnessed its worst floods in decades in July and August.
