Thane (Maharashtra) : Seven members of a family have been arrested in connection with the death of two children aged two and five years, police said here Saturday.
Police said the bodies of the two kids were retrieved from their home in Nala Sopara township of Thane district.
“We have arrested seven members of the family including the children’s parents and grandparents,” said a police official.
The children were allegedly suffocated to death in sleep late Friday night, the official added.
“We are investigating the matter and trying to ascertain the cause of the death,” the official said.
The kids were identified as Om and Ritika Jaiswal.
