Thiruvananthapuram : Kerala Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan turned 87 Wednesday – a day which began with a call from Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
The veteran Communist leader went about his official work as usual and attended a series of meetings in his office.
Later, he had lunch with his family members at his official residence here.
With the civic election scheduled for Oct 23 and 25, the chief minister also spent time discussing the crucial polls.
