New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit was Thursday presented dividend cheques of Rs.36 crore by the two city government-owned power companies.
“The cheques were presented by Chief Secretary Rakesh Mehta, who is also the principal secretary of the power department and CMD of the power companies,” an official said.
Of the amount, a cheque of Rs.24,92,33,250 was presented by the Pragati Power Corporation Limited, while the Delhi Transco Ltd. presented two cheques amounting to Rs.10.36 crore and Rs.56 lakh.
Dikshit congratulated the companies for their excellent performance, the officials said.
