Mumbai : A benchmark index of Indian equities Thursday moved up 133 points higher in morning trade.
The 30-share sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 19,951.34 points, was ruling at 20,005.75 points, up 133.60 points or 0.67 percent at 19,872.15 points.
At the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the 50-share S&P CNX Nifty was trading at 6,023.25 points, up 0.69 percent.
Broader markets were, however, doing much better. The BSE midcap index was ruling one percent higher, while the BSE smallcap index moved up a similar quantum.
