New Delhi : Amid difference on a host of issues, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will meet his Chinese counterpart Wen Jiabao in Hanoi at the end of this month.
“There will be a meeting between the prime minister and Chinese premier in Hanoi,” Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao told reporters while briefing them on the forthcoming three-nation tour of the prime minister here Friday.
Manmohan Singh will attend the India-Asean summit scheduled for Oct 30. The meeting between Wen and Singh will take place then.
“There is enough space for India and China to grow together,” Rao said, when asked whether she envisaged competition between India and China in light of the growing Chinese influence in Asia.
