Islamabad : Four thousand cadet officers from the southwestern Balochistan province were inducted into the Pakistan Army Friday, Xinhua reported.
A grand ceremony was organised for the passing out parade of the new Balochi soldiers in Quetta, Khuzdar, Sibi and other cities simultaneously.
On the instruction of army chief Gen. Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, the young recruits were given special leniency.
Balochistan Governor Nawab Zulfiqar Magsi was the chief guest of the passing out ceremony, attended by cadets’ families, tribal elders, lawmakers, ministers and senior military officers.
The army in a message congratulated the soldiers and informed the people that in the future 10,000 Baloch soldiers will be inducted into the Pakistan Army.
