Berlin : More than 100 people on Saturday were arrested during a neo-Nazi demonstration in the western German city of Dortmund, the news magazine Der Spiegel reported.
The neo-Nazi rally turned violent as thousands of mostly leftist counter-demonstrators tried to block the far-right march and police was then forced to intervene.
At least 111 people were arrested during the street riots which also involved scuffles between police and neo-Nazis as well as leftist demonstrators.
Security forces also broke up a sit-in of hundreds of counter-demonstrators on the street.
Germany has repeatedly been the scene of violent clashes between neo-Nazi and counter-demonstrators in recent months.
