New Delhi : Overseas Indian Affairs Minister Vayalar Ravi Tuesday rued that he did not get any time for writing after joining the cabinet.
“I used to write a lot, but mostly about political issues… but, now after becoming minister, I don’t get any time at all,” Ravi said at a function to launch “Never a Disconnect” by his close aide and Indian Revenue Service official Sadhna Shankar.
This is the third book for Shankar, who is personal secretary to the minister. Her first book “Ahlan-wasahlan – A Syrian Journey” was a travelogue and the second “Parallels Meet” was a collection of essays.
Ravi described the book as a work of “urban Indian women searching for identity”.
