New Delhi : A day after ending his 97-hour fast for a rigorous anti-graft law, social activist Anna Hazare Sunday said he never expected the movement to grow so big.
“I have been fighting against corruption for the last 25 years. Corruption has increased so much and no day passes when you don’t get to hear any corruption related news. I have given my life for the country and society. So I decided to do something, but never expected it will grow so big,” Hazare told reporters here.
Anna Hazare, joined by hundreds of supporters, ended his hunger strike Saturday for a stringent Lokpal Bill after the government met almost all his demands.
