Washington : India and the United States have agreed to hold another round of bilateral dialogue on East Asian affairs later this year, the State Department said.

The decision was taken at a meeting early this week in New Delhi.

The Assistant Secretary of State, Kurt Campbell, led an inter-agency delegation on April 4 to New Delhi, where he met with counterparts from the Indian Ministry of External Affairs and co-chaired the third US-India dialogue on East Asian affairs.

“Both sides agreed to hold another dialogue later this year,” the State Department said in a statement.

On April 6 in Singapore, Campbell met Permanent Secretary Bilahari Kausikan from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other Singaporean officials to discuss bilateral and regional issues.
