Chandigarh : Fruits and vegetables produced in Haryana have been exempted from payment of market fee, a state government spokesman said here Wednesday.
“There is no market fee for fruits and vegetables produced and processed in the state,” he said.
The spokesman added that Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has also announced reduction in the market fee for fruits and vegetables from other states from two percent to one percent.
“The decision was taken as part of the reforms in the Punjab Agriculture Produce Markets Act (Haryana), 1961 for the benefit of the farming community,” the spokesman added.
