Indian Army helicopter missing in Sikkim

New Delhi : Two days after a commercial helicopter crashed in Arunachal Pradesh, an Indian Army helicopter went missing in north Sikkim Thursday, an official said.

The helicopter went missing in the Shiv Mandir area of the state at 11.30 a.m., the official said.

The chopper was carrying two pilots and two technicians.

It was not immediately clear whether the chopper was a Cheetah or an indigenously built advanced light helicopter, the official said.

Seventeeen people were killed when a Mi-172 helicopter of Pawan Hans Helicopters Limited crashed while attempting to land at Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh. The cause of the crash is yet to be ascertained.
