Moto-Rev India set for Asian Road Racing Championship

Chennai : Six times champion Tohiyuki Hamaguchi of Japan will spearhead Moto-Rev India’s challenge in the first round of the 2011 FIM Asian Road Racing Championship for two-wheelers at the Sepang International Circuit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, this weekend.

Alongside Hamaguchi are two Indian riders, reigning National champion Krishnan Rajini and Gautham Mayilvagnan.

Of interest will be Mayilvagnan’s performance as the youngster who has made a steady progress through the classes and has undergone special training in California, US, under former Moto GP champion Kenny Roberts.

All the three Moto-Rev riders will be astride Singapore-prepared Yamaha YZF-R6 machines, according to a press release here Thursday.
