New Delhi : Minister of State for Urban Development Saugata Roy Wednesday informed the Rajya Sabha that 67 projects have so far been approved under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission.
Roy said that Rs.11,400 crore had been allocated under the urban infrastructure development scheme for small and medium towns. Out of this, Rs.7,545.02 crore had been released till June 30.
The minister said steps had been taken for encouraging public-private partnership in projects like preparation of toolkits for solid waste management.
