Political parties formulate conduct code in Pakistani district

Islamabad : Political parties have jointly framed a code of conduct for carrying out their activities in Mohmand Agency in Pakistan’s northwest.

“The local leaders agreed during a meeting to observe an eight-point code of conduct for carrying out political activities in the agency smoothly,” Dawn Mondy quoted sources as saying.

Each party will now inform the authorities in advance about a political gathering, its venue and expected speakers.

The leaders said hate speeches or speeches against each other would be banned and the parties would ensure limited use of loudspeakers.
