New Delhi : Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Wednesday assured the Lok Sabha the government was “committed” to the development of civil nuclear energy and said there “would be no compromise on safety of power plants”.
Replying to Shiv Sena MP Anant Geete’s query on the potential terrorist threat to the west coast in general and to the upcoming nuclear power plant in Jaitapur in Maharashtra, Manmohan Singh said: “We are committed to developing civil nuclear energy.”
