Mathura (Uttar Pradesh) : Union Tourism Minister Subodh Kant Sahay was Wednesday confronted by Anna Hazare supporters in the Hindu holy town of Goverdhan in this Uttar Pradesh district where he had come to pray.
According to police sources, the minister had completed the “parikrama” (circumlocution) in his vehicle and was rounding up his visit after prayers at Daan Ghati, when volunteers of India Against Corruption suddenly appeared on the scene and showed him black flags.
They also sought to know why he was not supporting the Jan Lokpal bill.
The agitators kept shouting slogans as the minister left the scene after the puja.
