Islamabad : Pakistan Interior Minster Rehman Malik Thursday said law enforcing agencies have conducted 48 raids in different areas of the port city of Karachi and apprehended 90 suspects so far.
Violence over the past few weeks in Karachi has left over 300 people dead.
Malik said police and paramilitary forces were carrying out raids effectively on the basis of intelligence reports.
He said providing peace to the citizens was a basic responsibility of the government and the operation would not be halted until the achievement of the objectives.
