“We opened the Khan Market Metro station at 7.38 p.m. for people but the other three stations are still closed,” said a Delhi Metro spokesperson.

Khan Market station is on the Central Secretariat-Badarpur stretch.

The three other stations that continue to be closed are Udyog Bhawan, Race Course and Jor Bagh on the Huda City Centre-Jahangirpuri corridor.

The official said police suggested the closure of stations due to security reasons.

Hazare and fellow activist Arvind Kejriwal in the morning appealed to supporters for a peaceful protest in front of the prime minister’s residence at 7 Race Course Road from 5 p.m.

Dozens of protesters reached the prime minister’s residence in the afternoon and 50 of them were detained, police said.

Hazare’s supporters have been protesting in front of the prime minister’s house in batches since Wednesday. They have also staged demonstrations in front of the houses of several MPs.
