Lucknow : A retired postman from Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh district has written two letters to President Pratibha Patil in his blood and says he will continue with it till she persuades activist Anna Hazare to end his fast for a strong anti-graft bill.
Roop Sawant Tomar, 65, a resident of Naurangabad area, has vowed to write such letters daily.
“I have started the exercise from yesterday (Thursday), and will continue with it till the veteran social activist agrees to break his fast,” Tomar told reporters Friday in Aligarh, some 350 km from here.
“The life of Annaji is priceless for all of us. Taking into account his old age, Annaji should now break his fast,” he added appealing to Hazare whose fast in New Delhi continued for the 11th day Friday.
Tomar claims to draw over 50 ml of his blood every day.
