MOH Farook is Kerala Governor

Thiruvananthapuram: Senior Congress leader and governor of Jharkhand, Mr MOH Farook has been appointed the new governor of Kerala.

Mr Farook became the governor of Jharkhand in 2010. Earlier he has served thrice as the Chief Minister of the Union Territory of Puduchery, which later became Pondicherry. He was thrice elected from Pondicherry to the Lok Sabha. He has served as the Union Minister fir Civil Aviation and Tourism during 1991-92. He has also served as the member of the Central Hajj Committee and has been appointed Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.

He has been appointed in the place of the outgoing Kerala Governor RS Gavai.
