Rs. 15 crores for Bhopal under MsDP scheme

New Delhi: To implement the Multi-sectoral Development Programme (MsDP) in Bhopal, the only identified Minority Concentration District (MCD) in Madhya Pradesh, the Union Minority Affairs Ministry allocated Rs.1500 lakh for the Eleventh Five Year Plan.

So far, the plans for the development of the district, which were submitted by Madhya Pradesh Government to the Union Minority Affairs Ministry, amounts Rs.1240 lakh with central financial assistance of Rs.1127.50 lakh have been approved by the Ministry of Minority Affairs. The plans include construction of anganwadi centres, Indira Awas Yojana (IAY) and construction of girls’ hostel.

This information was given by Union Minister Vincent H. Pala in written reply to a question in Lok Sabha last week. He also informed that the House that no proposal of the Government of the Madhya Pradesh under MsDP is pending with Minority Affairs Ministry.
