Chennai: Tamil Nadu Thouheed Jamaath (TNTJ) is going to stage a series of protests against the Congress-led UPA Government as it has failed to implement recommendations of Rajindar Sachar Committee and Ranganath Mishra Commission. The two panels have recommended several measures, including reservation for the uplift of Muslims in the country.

TNTJ, in its 13th State general council meeting here on Sunday, took decision about the protests all over Tamil Nadu. The Muslim group will hold demonstrations in all district headquarters in the state on 14th February 2012.
The meeting stressed reservation for Muslims in education and employment. The group demanded the central government 15% reservation at national level.

TNTJ also demanded Tamil Nadu Government of AIADMK to fulfill its chief minister Ms. Jayalalita’s poll promise of increasing the current 3.5% per cent reservation for Muslims to 7%. The group criticised Ms. Jayalalithaa for sending her representative to convey her wishes to Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi for his communal harmony fast.
