Beijing : Chinese leader Li Changchun Friday called for greater efforts to build up more publishing enterprises competitive in the international market with the aim to promote Chinese culture.
Li, a member of the standing committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) politburo, made the remark while meeting publishers.
Li asked the publishing industry to make greater contributions to “promoting socialist cultural prosperity and building China into a socialist cultural power”, reported Xinhua.
