The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) ground is located in the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) business hub in the southcentral part of the city.

Hazare’s India Against Corruption (IAC) group has been allotted 20,000 sq metres of the area for the protest, and another 10,000 sq metres for parking, authorities said.

The allotted area can hold over 40,000 people.

The MMRDA grounds can easily accommodate four-five big exhibitions and are mainly rented out for commercial purposes, unlike the Azad Maidan in south Mumbai, which is free, but can accommodate only about 5,000 people.

Azad Maidan is around 20 kms south of the MMRDA grounds.
