Ajmer: Bharat Bhai, who has been named as one of the key witnesses in Ajmer bomb blast case by the Rajasthan Anti terror Squad (ATS), was arrested on Friday from Valsad in Gujarat. His arrest became possible after the confession of Aseemanand, a key accused in various blasts in Ajmer, Malegaon besides Samjhauta Express blasts cases.
Aseemanand had said in his confession that Bharat Bhai had given funds for the blasts. He also used to be present in all the meetings with Sunil Joshi (the RSS activist allegedly and also the mastermind in Ajmer blast) organized for planning the blasts.
On the other hand the custody of Swami Aseemanand has been extended by seven days till February 11. The Rajasthan ATS took Aseemanand into its custody last month after the CBI arrested him in November last year for his alleged role in several blast cases across the country.
As far as investigation of 2006 Malegaon blast is concerned, the CBI is in Ajmer to interrogate Devendra Gupta and Lokesh Sharma, two accused in Ajmer blast case.
