Addressing the dharna, Dr Neela Lohithadasan, ex-Minister of Kerala, said: “Despite having the information about the real culprits behind the explosions, the Union Home Ministry does not seem serious to free innocent Muslim youths who were deliberately targeted.”

Mr. Lohithadasan urged the central government to show the courage to make a truthful and comprehensive probe into the explosions occurred after 2003. “It is very clear that Hindutva forces were involved in each and every explosion. So, the central government should initiate an independent probe,” he added.

The Family members termed the delay in release of their innocent relatives, especially after the confession of Swami Asimanand, as an act of “state terrorism.” They also demanded proper compensation for their rehabilitation and story punishment to the guilty officers.

In his speech, the chairman of Minority Right Watch, Advocate Shanavas said that it would be in the favor of UPA to regain its lost secular fabric by freeing innocent Muslim youths. Others who spoke on the occasion include Dr M. S. Jayaprakash (Chairman NCHRO), Bhasurendrababu (KAIRALI TV), Adv. Pookunju (Kerala Muslim Jamat Council), Prof. S. A.
