BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said senior party leaders, office-bearers and chief ministers will attend a meeting in Kolkata Feb 15 to discuss the strategy for taking the three issues to the people.

The meeting will also discuss the BJP’s plans for the budget session of parliament beginning Feb 21 and the party’s preparations for the assembly polls in West Bengal.

The office-bearers’ meeting will be followed by a party rally to be addressed by party leaders including L.K. Advani, Nitin Gadkari, Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj.

The rally is a culmination of a fortnight-long march taken out by the party’s West Bengal unit across the state.

Javadekar said the party plans to start an agitation against the government on the lines of the pre-Emergency movement and the one against the Rajiv Gandhi government on Bofors scam when various opposition parties had come together.

Evading a direct reply about the contours of the anti-corruption movement, he said there was tremendous unity among the opposition parties in parliament and outside on the streets on the issue.
