BJP activists gathered near Ashram Road in south Delhi and almost blocked the DND flyway, creating traffic woes for commuters. The jams began in the wee hours of Thursday morning.

Traffic for Noida was diverted towards Sarai Kale Khan and Akshardham route.

“There were slight traffic problems till 11 a.m. on the Ring Road connecting the DND flyway,” a traffic police official said.

The DND flyway management hiked toll rates despite the Noida Development Authority rejecting the proposal. The hike was implemented by the flyway operator from Tuesday midnight.

The rate for cars has been hiked from Rs.20 to Rs.25, for light commercial vehicles from Rs.40 to Rs.50, and for buses and trucks from Rs.50 to Rs.65.
