New Delhi: The Jangpura Resident Welfare Association (RWA) has moved an application before the Delhi High Court, which will be heard on Monday, requesting the court to take back its orders allowing prayers at the disputed site where the DDA had razed the Noori Masjid on January 12.
The court had allowed one ‘Noor Mohammad Society’ to facilitate 10 people to pray at the site of the demolished mosque after huge protest followed the demolition.

Requesting it to ensure status quo at the disputed site, RWA informed the court that on the very day the court allowed only 10 people to pray but more than 100 people forcibly entered the disputed site by the evening. The association also wanted the court to order enforcement of its past orders regarding protection of the land from re encroachment.

According to advocate R K Saini, the RWA counsel in the case, the DDA hasn’t yet been able to reclaim the disputed land by raising a boundary wall in spite the court order asking the agency to do so.
