Judges pay tributes to securitymen killed in 26/11

By IANS,

Mumbai: Confirming the death penalty for Pakistani terrorist Ajmal Amir Kasab, the Bombay High Court Monday paid tributes to the brave security personnel killed or injured in the 26/11 Mumbai attack.

A division bench of Justice Ranjana Desai and Justice R.V. More made it a point to mention in their 1,215-page judgment how some brave policemen and a National Security Guard commando laid down their lives for the people, while others were seriously injured while battling with the terrorists.

“We will be failing in our duty if we do not acknowledge their sacrifice. We close this judgment by expressing our deepest sense of gratitude to them,” the judges said in their order upholding the death sentence awarded to Kasab by Special Judge M.L. Tahaliyani in May 2010.
