Bevan excited with new look Kings XI Punjab

New Delhi: Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) coach Michael Bevan said he is excited with the players bought from the Indian Premier League auction and the team now looks strong in all departments of the game.

“I am very happy with the way the KXIP management was able to put into action the strategic plan that we had drawn to buy players for the upcoming season. The team has shaped up with a right mix of batsmen, bowlers and all rounders,” said the former Australian player.

“The team that we have got is strong on each compartment of the game,” he said.

Kings XI Punjab roped in Adam Gilchrist, Dinesh Karthik, David Hussey, Abhishek Nayar, Praveen Kumar, Dimitri Mascarenhas, Stuart Broad, Ryan Harris, Nathan Rimmington, Shaun Marsh and Piyush Chawla.

“We are thrilled to have bagged a team of both international and national players. The team is a right blend of experienced and young players who are dynamic and passionate about the game and have zeal to win,” a statement from Kings XI Punjab said.
