TNTJ organises blood donation camp in Dammam

Dammam: The Dammam chapter of Tamil Nadu Thowheed Jamath (TNTJ) organized blood donation camp at on Friday 14th Jan. at Dammam Central Hospital. The camp was organized in coordination with the hospital.

At the camp nearly 154 people registered their name to donate blood and altogether they donated 114 units. A number of volunteers returned without donating their blood as the hospital authorities stopped registration of new names due to time constraint.

It was the 9th such camp organized by TNTJ mainly to help the Hajj and Umrah pilgrims in emergency cases. The number of blood donors was recorded highest 154 in a single day while it was 91 last time.

The 10th similar camp will be organized on 18th Feb 2011 in coordination with King Fahad Hospital, Khobar. It will be open for all those who have willing to participate in this holy work but on the condition he/she clears a health screening.
