Delhi CM distributes certificates of computer learning among Muslim girls

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit distributed certificates among the first batch of 40 Muslim girls who received computer training at the Centre for Computer Learning that is run by the Institute of Objective Studies in cooperation with Delhi Minority Commission.

The centre was launched in 2010 to impart computer education among Muslim girls. At the completion of the course of first batch of 40 Muslim girls, a certificate distribution program was organized at the official residence of the Delhi CM on 14th January.


Conducting the program, Prof Ishtiyaq Ahmed said girls took much interest in the computer program. We had to turn back many aspirants due to space constraint. He also said that many of the passouts have got jobs.

At the occasion, the Delhi CM appreciated the work of IOS and hoped the initiative will benefit both the community and the country. She promised that she will try to find IOS some building or space to run the program for more students.
