New Delhi: A joint delegation of Raza Academy (Mumbai) and Muslim Students Organisation of India (MSO) met Ahmed Patel, Rajya Sabha Member and Political Advisor of UPA Chairperson and Congress President Sonia Gandhi, here on 18th Jan. 2011 and demanded release of innocent Muslim youths languishing in jails for terror blasts.

The delegation presented a memorandum to Patel to forward it to UPA Chairperson. The delegation has put three demands before the Central Government:
*Immediate and unconditional release of innocent Muslim youths arrested in connection with terror blasts in Malegaon, Nanded, Parbhani, Aurangabad and other places in the country
*Legal action against the police officers who without evidence arrested Muslim youths, tortured them and implicated in the terror cases
* Monetary compensation to the affected Muslim youths
The delegation was led by Maulana Mohd Saeed Noori, Chairman, Raza Academy, Mumbai and Maulana Yaseen Akhtar Misbahi, Founder and President, Darul Qalam, Delhi.
Talking to TwoCircles.net after the meeting, Maulana Yasin Akhtar Misbahi said Ahmed Patel patiently listened to their demands and informed the delegation that the process to consider the release of innocent youths has begun.
Maulana Misbahi informed TCN that a delegation of Raza Academy and MSO will soon meet Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan and put the same demands before him.
In the wake of confession of RSS pracharak and terror accused Swami Aseemanand for his role and involvement of other RSS workers and outfits in various blasts including Malegaon, Mecca Masjid, Ajmer Dargah, Samjhauta Express, Muslim leaders are demanding the central and state governments to release the innocent Muslim youths arrested for those blasts.
Other members of the delegation included: Maulana Mohd Shahabuddin Rizwi (Bareilly), Maulana Nafees Akhtar Ashrafi (Muradabad), Maulana Usman Ghani (Gujarat), Maulana Abdul Jaleel (Kerala), Shahnawaz Warsi (Delhi), Maulana Ziyaul Mustafa Rizwi (Bihar), Haji Moinuddin Ashrafi (Rajasthan).
