Melbourne : India’s Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi stormed into the men’s doubles semifinals of the Australian Open tennis here Wednesday.
The third-seeded Indian pair dispatched eighth seeded Michael Llodra of France and Nenad Zimonjic of Serbia 6-4, 6-4. Llodra and Zimonjic had beaten India’s Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-ul Haq Qureshi of Pakistan in the third round.
Paes and Bhupathi, who are playing together in a Grand Slam after nine years, next face second seeds Max Mirnyi of Belarus and Daniel Nestor of Canada.
