Quit India hero Sushil Dhara dies at 99

Kolkata : Sushil Dhara, one of the last remaining heroes of the 1942 Quit India revolution against the British, died at Mahishadal in West Bengal’s East Midnapore district Friday. He was 99.

“Sushil Dhara has expired today (Friday) evening,” district magistrate Dr. Archana told IANS over phone.

Born March 2, 1911, Dhara was in charge of the war and home department in Tamralipta Jatiya Sarkar (Tamralipta National Government) formed during the 1942 Quit India movement.
