New Delhi, July 14 (IANS) Forces trying to prevent normalcy in India-Pakistan ties will not succeed, New and Renewable Energy Minister Farooq Abdullah said Thursday.
He told mediapersons it would not be appropriate to comment till it was known who was behind Wednesday’s blasts in Mumbai that killed 17 people and injured 131.
However, he added there were forces that did not want “peace” in relations between India and Pakistan.
“They want that relations between the two countries do not progress further and their own vested interests are served. This will not succeed,” he said.
Talks between the foreign ministers of India and Pakistan are slated to take place later this month.
Abdullah said India wants peace in the world and will make efforts in that direction.
