We sympathise with Mumbai blast victims: Dikshit

New Delhi: The Delhi government sympathised with the family members of those killed in the Mumbai blasts that left at least 17 people dead and injured 131 others, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said Thursday.

“The cabinet commiserates with the family members of the deceased in this moment of grief and prays to the almighty to give them strength to overcome this irreparable loss,” said Dikshit after a specially convened meeting of the cabinet.

“It also wishes for the early recovery of the brave citizens of Mumbai, who sustained injuries in this dastardly act of terrorism,” she added.

Condemning the blasts, the Delhi cabinet, in a statement, said the act of despicable cowardice perpetrated on the soil of Mumbai is an attack on India.

“As a nation, we stand firm in our resolve to defeat the nefarious aims of terrorism,” the statement added.
