JSW Energy quarterly profit drops to Rs.190.26 crore

Mumbai : JSW Energy Thursday reported a decline in its net profit at Rs.190.26 crore for the quarter ended June 30 as against Rs.327.20 crore during the like period of the previous financial year.

The net sales increased to Rs.1,119.26 crore during the quarter under review as against Rs.879.26 crore in the like quarter of the previous financial year, the company said in a regulatory filing.

The company also said that it has received environmental clearance along with first stage forest clearance for its 240 megawatt Kutehr Hydro Project in Hyderabad.

“The process of land acquisition is under way. The negotiations for placement of orders are progressing,” the statement added.

At the Bombay Stock Exchange the shares of the company closed 6.64 percent lower at Rs. 71.
