Mumbai: The deaths in July 13 Mumbai serial blasts rose to 22 Saturday with another injured succumbing at Sir J.J. Hospital here, officials said.
According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s Disaster Control Centre, the deceased has been identified as Sundar Singh, 30.
Injured in the blast at Zaveri Bazar, Sundar Singh was admitted to the hospital in a serious condition and breathed his last Saturday.
A total of 131 people were injured in the three blasts at Zaveri Bazar, Opera House and Dadar Kabutarkhana July 13 evening. Some of them were discharged after treatment. Seventeen people died on the spot.
Sundar Singh’s death follows that of the critically injured Shirpad Muzappura, 30, who succumbed at Harkisondas Hospital Friday, and Ashok Bhata, 35, who succumbed to his injuries at the Sir J.J. Hospital here Tuesday.
Last Saturday, another injured, Avinash Tanka, 24, had breathed his last at Bombay Hospital, followed by Babulal Das, 45, who passed away in Saifee Hospital Sunday.
