The seizure was made in Gozari forest of Gazipur district, the Daily Star reported Friday.

The small machineguns (SMGs), rifle bullets and bomb-making materials were hidden in the forest, said Lt. Col. Md Rashidul Alam, commanding officer of Rapid Action Battalion.

Following a tip-off, a RAB team raided the area and a dog squad helped sniff out the stash.

The bullets were in 50 packets that were stashed in five sacks.

The official said they could not ascertain the origin of the bullets, as they had no labels.
