Reinstate recognition of Jamia Urdu degrees in Rajasthan: Campus Front

By TCN News,

Bhopal: The Campus Front of India has condemned the decision of the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education to de-recognize the degrees equivalent to class X and XII offered by Jamia Urdu, Aligarh. This decision will severely affect the future of thousands of Urdu students of Rajasthan.

The Campus Front National General Secretary, Abdul Raoof in a Press Release said: “Such kinds of decisions expose the hypocrisy of Government who talks about promotion of Urdu language and giving more opportunities to the minority students”

The Campus Front of India has urged the Rajasthan State Government to nullify the board’s decision. If it fails to do so then the Campus Front will start a statewide agitation against this decision, the release said.

It may be mentioned here that Jamia Urdu is recognized as a minority institution by the National Commission for Minority Education Institutions, offering degree courses up to graduation through distance education mode since 1939. These degrees are recognized for further admission and jobs in Rajasthan since 1958.
