Chennai: TVS Racing’s K. Jagan delivered a double, despite a 10-second penalty for a jump start, in the first round of the MRF-FMSCI National Motorcycle Racing Championship here Sunday.
Jagan won the Group D (Open) class and then closed the day by outclassing the Group B field that he led from start to finish. Although he was penalised for a jump start, Jagan still won by over a second.
Meanwhile, India’s top rider, Krishnan Rajini (Moto-Rev India) completed a double in the Superbikes (600cc) class as he easily won the second race on Sunday, sparing over two seconds to Preethi Racing’s Sumit Lucas Toppo.

Superbikes (Group A, 600cc – 8 laps): Krishnan Rajini (Moto-Rev) 1 (14:29.382); Sumit Lucas Toppo (Preethi Racing) 2 (14:31.778); R Deepak (Preethi Racing) 3 (14:39.668).
